What kind of identification do I need to open a new account?

Federal law requires financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person on an account. When you open an account, we will ask you for your name, address, date of birth, and other identifying documents to verify your identity and current address. The following items are acceptable forms of identification and we require two forms for each signer on the account (documentation must include 1 primary form of ID).

Primary

  • Unexpired U.S. state-issued driver's license
  • Unexpired U.S. state-issued state ID card
  • Unexpired U.S. Military ID
  • Unexpired U.S. School ID (with picture)
  • Unexpired U.S. Passport

 

Primary – Minors Only

  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card

 

Secondary

  • Utility Bill
  • Credit/Debit Card
  • Active Insurance Card or Bill
  • Employee Badge w/Photo
  • Welfare Card (Medicare, Medicaid, EBT)
